- Completed 10 project milestones including goal-setting, and partner content collection by project managing a cross-functional team (web developers, content creators, web designers, contact system managers, and external partner) to launch for Dallas College School of Education Teach Navigator platform- Formed authentic partnerships with Houston area EPPs, LEAs, and other partners to create referral leads resulting in 466 subscribers exceeding final goal of all partnerships by 165% and pre-teaching partnerships by 780%.- Launched The Future Black Teacher and Future Latinx Teacher Scholarship in Houston. We had 738 scholarship page views with 199 of those being from new users, compared to 363 page views with 72 being from new users, ultimately doubling the impact in one month.- Supported sustainable fundraising efforts for TEACH for Houston resulting $850,000+ in grant awards.-AY22 data showed that LEA partners were minimally engaged in utilizing TEACH for Houston resources to support students and school-based personnel. To increase engagement I designed a strategy to offer test prep to support teachers who work for districts of innovation with alternative staffing models. As a result of this work, I increased sign-up sourced from LEA referrals by 2240% by February 2023 than we did by February 2022 (117 Feb ‘23 v. 5 Feb ‘22)

In this role, I coached and developed 27 corps members to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives and advocate for improved educational opportunities. I designed and facilitated training sessions for 18 early-career teachers, with 94% of participants affirming the content's relevance to their instructional practice. Additionally, I organized Brunch and Bloom, a virtual community-building initiative within the Teach for America Dallas-Fort Worth network, with 93% of survey respondents expressing pride in being part of TFA, a 35% increase from the mid-year survey.

Remote Location

I piloted a community-centered process for best identifying and funding 8 organizations across the nation, impacting more than 350 students in the K-12 continuum. This process was adapted as a standard practice by a large funder.Additionally, I collaborated with internal academic and talent teams to assist school leaders, teacher trainers, and teachers in implementing community-focused strategies. Key initiatives included:-Developing a Family and Community Engagement Teacher Training course, a three-module program for new and veteran teachers, equipping them with practical skills to build strong relationships with students, families, and communities, enhancing both academic and social outcomes.-Conducting TNTP’s first landscape analysis to inform talent strategy for Chattanooga Schools.-Creating a rubric for Educator Preparation Programs (EPPs) to assess their alignment with community-centered teaching practices.-Designing a training session for 78 novice teachers in Tulsa, Oklahoma, highlighting the importance of local history and providing tools to incorporate this understanding into their instructional practices.

As a program manager for The New Teacher Project (TNTP), I manage and design program operations and procedures for teacher summer training programs that prioritize client needs and influence partner decision-making for Teach18 Educator Preparation Program (EPP) and previously for the Explore Charter School system. I have developed positive relationships with stakeholders and serve as liaison between West Texas district level administrators, campus administrators, and Teach18 staff to support intern teacher growth and development and build program brand. In this capacity, I have also developed and managed sustainable systems and structures to ensure timely and accurate completion of Texas Education Agency’s EPP requirements. I was able to identify compliance gaps and develop short and long-term solutions such as creating aligned curriculum handbooks for EC-6 generalist, Bilingual, SPED, Math and Science certification areas as well as intern and mentor teacher reporting and professionalism procedures.I also had the privilege to lead the logistical strategy and execution of the Fishman Prize for Superlative Classroom Practice, a high-profile event that includes a two-day interview weekend, winners’ announcements, and summer residency. I worked in partnership with the communications team to build and execute internal and external marketing campaigns as well as facilitated opportunities for Fishman Prize Winner exposure through listening tours, meetings with educational and federal policy leaders, and TNTP’s work.

As a teacher specialist, I served as the liaison between district level administrators, campus administrators, community members, and teachers to ensure student needs were met. I proposed and monitored new instructional interventions and initiatives based on data to create a training series to ensure teachers had adequate support and training to make substantial gains in the classroom.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

As a content instructional leader and department chair for a L.G. Pinkston High School, I collaborated with administrators to determine instructional priorities for science team members. I promoted and monitored interventions and initiatives based on student performance data and utilized data to drive science department changes. Under my leadership, we increased the percentage of students that passed the Biology State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR) from 84% to 90% when compared to the previous year’s data. Also, we increased the percentage passing on the December administration of Biology STAAR re-test from 33% to 54% when compared to the previous year’s data. These improvements were a direct result of the teacher’s hard work and trust in the strategies and systems that I implemented to support their classroom efforts.
