Mtss-R Coach
CurrentAs an MTSS-R Coach, I support schools in implementing four components of a Multi-Tiered System of Support in Reading model for students in grades 1 and 2: Tier I instruction, Tier II intervention, data-based decision making, and infrastructure. This position supports an evaluation of the MTSS process conducted by AIR on behalf of the United States Department of Education. The schools I support are partnered for training with CORE Partners (the University of Minnesota Center on Applied Research for Educational Improvement and Consortium on Reaching Excellence in Education). Responsibilities include training teachers and providing ongoing professional development and coaching around the science of reading, data collection and analysis, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration between schools and CORE Partners.
