Students in the photography program at Sheridan College are permitted to rent out equipment from the equipment centre during their time in the program. As a customer service representative at the front desk, my duties include:- Interacting directly with my colleagues when they come to rent out equipment- Customer service: Talking with students, knowing students' names, assuring their order is fulfilled, assuring they have returned all the equipment they took out- Inspecting equipment before it goes out to students and at the time it is returned to check for damages - Using VIMBIZ software and a computer as a P.O.S. to scan and track student rentals- Patrolling the photography studio to help students with camera/light/equipment related problems- Following equipment centre procedures and policies including rental check in and check out procedures- Clean, organize, and rotate the equipment on the shelves to assure they always work at their top quality- Charging equipment to prepare for student use- Checking inventory- Unloading new shipments of gear into the equipment centre and putting them in the proper bags/shelving units/etc.,

I spent 10 weeks living and working up at Muskoka Woods Sports Resort during their 2021 summer camp season. As the camp photographer, my job was to be ready for anything and everything with my camera in hand, prepared to capture the unfolding action and fun. Above everything else, I was a "counsellor with a camera".Notes:- Asserted and followed strict COVID-19 protocol at all times, in both living accommodations and workplace settings- 10 to 12 hour work days, outdoors, 6 to 7 days per weekJobs & Skills:- Circulated camp during daily activities and evening programmings to photograph the guests for souvenir and marketing purposes- Worked individually to prioritize and accomplish daily goals in a fast-paced environment- Edited, organized, and delivered images on a daily basis - Exercised professionalism when dealing with challenging working conditions and children- Communicated regularly Production and Marketing departments to ensure weekly goals were being met- Extra events photographed: Camp Store merchandise for website (flat-lay and lifestyle), Weekly Cabin Photos, the Boathouse interior, Guest v Staff Basketball Game, Camp Triathlon, Staff Week Events, International Staff v Canadian Staff Soccer Game, CEO Girl's Night Celebrations, Summer Baptisms, CEO Graduation, Junior High Section Celebration, Program Department End-of-Summer Ceremony, Soul House Ceremony, Fireworks, Camp Dance Photo Booth

- Adhering and enforcing strict COVID-19 protocol, including mandatory mask wearing, social distancing, regular sanitizing, and no-return policies- Taking and reporting inventory of stock on sales floor- Authorizing and unloading deliveries from supplier trucks- Communicating with customers to inquire about their gardening needs and suggesting the best products for them- Regularly tending to the plants and produce to keep them fresh and watered - Physical labour: loading soil and mulch bags off skids and into customers’ cars, regularly shifting 25 lb patio pots, arranging hanging baskets, reconfiguring displays, unloading heavy merchandise off of delivery carts- Organizing and promoting items on displays and cash table- Managing the cash box and debit terminals; ringing up customer orders- Reporting daily sales totals to manager- Closing and opening procedures to ensure optimal workflow for the day

Swim Instructor/Lifeguard Duties:- Providing small group and individual private Lifesaving Society certified swim instruction to children (ages 3 to 12)- Evaluating swimmers’ skills, strokes, and water competency - Promoting a safe environment in the water, preserving life and preventing water-related injury- Creating and following daily lesson plans and long range core plans for swim classes - Performing and maintaining standard maintenance of pool, deck and change roomsPhotographer/Camp Duties:- Building trust and relationships with campers ages 3-12 - Contributing to a positive environment for all campers by maintaining an enthusiastic attitude towards situations and participating in activities - Photographing and chaperoning weekly field trips and other special events - Editing, filing, and distributing media for camp Instagram and website- Supervising lunchtime and eating with campers

Host Duties:- Greeting and seating customers in an orderly fashion- Managing waiting area and queue of customers waiting to be seated- Providing menus and setting tables for guests- Communicating with servers which table they are to serve- Reconfiguring tables and chairs to accommodate for various sized parties as well as high chairs- Creating monthly chalkboard designs for "Burger of the Month" feature- Receiving and processing takeout ordersBusser Duties:- Relieving tables of excess dishes during and after guests meals- Refilling drinks- Assisting food runner/hostess during busy times- Presenting debit/credit machines to customers for them to pay- Answering phones for takeout and general inquiries, placing takeout orders

- Greeting customers and making conversation- Recovering the store, cleaning racks, shelves, folding merchandise, cleaning fitting rooms- Working cash register and P.O.S. to make transactions with customers - Closing the store: Recording sales totals and recovering the sales floor- Answering phone and communicating between store locations- Assisting customers to find merchandise, checking online/other store/in the back for additional items- Discussing with customers to find the best deals, confirm prices, pick out gifts, and take advantage of promotions, etc- Regularly sweeping, dusting, and disinfecting the store- Building shelves and racks for displays

Responsibilities as the summer intern included:- Shadowing reporters during interviews and press conferences- Shadowing producer; working behind the scenes using various programs to implement graphics and titles into live show- Writing scripts for air - Writing articles for the web- Operating the teleprompter for the anchor and other journalists during recording- Setting up and taking down studio lights for recording- Shooting and cutting short visual clips to run behind voice overs for broadcast
