I am a third-year Clinical Psychology undergraduate student at Boston College, hoping to work with children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing intense stress during difficult life transitions. I have experience working with young adults, thanks to my internship as a Summer Counselor for The Dream Program located in Roxbury, Massachusetts; I was in charge of scheduling summer plans and activities for our kids, prepped lunches for them, and communicated often with parents to inform them about upcoming events or concerns about a child's individual needs. I hope to specialize in working with a population of adolescents and children undergoing adversity, dysfunctional family environments, and behavioral mood disorders such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorders. I also hope to conduct research on the neurobiological processes of trauma and stress and how we can mediate these with appropriate coping mechanisms.
