Sacha began her cheesemaking career with Winters Cheese Company in 2010, and since that time has become increasingly passionate about following a plant-based diet in order to mitigate the impact of animal agriculture and live a healthier life style. She began her role as Fermentation advisor with Climax Foods in 2020, and has now fully transitioned out of the dairy industry and is thrilled to be Product Innovation Lead with Climax Foods, reflecting her commitment to creating a level of sustainable, healthy, delicious, old world style plant-based cheese that the world has not yet seen or tasted. She has served as Education chair with the California Artisan Cheese Guild, and developed and taught the Hands-on Cheesemaking program at The Cheese School of San Francisco from its conception in 2011 until 2019. Sacha is dedicated to studying and exploring all fermented foods and is passionately inspired by body wellness and making a positive impact on our planet. She is founder of Kombucha Couture www.kombuchacouture.com pioneering sustainable bacterial cellulose as a non violently produced vegan leather.
