As a senior producer at NDTV 24x7 ((India’s leading English News Channel) I produced many award winning shows for one of the longest running news and current affairs shows in India – We the People. The show is also the NDTV’s flagship show requiring the highest standard in television programming both in terms of content and production quality. I was responsible for working with a team of guest coordinators, junior producers, editors, researchers, reporters, directors, set designers and news production crew to put together a one-hour on air episode of the show on a weekly basis. My main editorial responsibilities included working with the presenter on deciding the direction and topic for the show, the content – discussions point, balanced viewpoints, guests, subject matter experts and live audience case studies, pre-recorded interviews with subjects, and complete responsibility for post-producing each episode. Produced content for news and special long format programs and documentaries in this 24 hours live news environment. As the creative producer managing the entire production process from pre-production through to post and final delivery – on time and on budget. Worked closely with Channel Heads to constantly improve production processes.
