Senior Director, Engineering - Embedded Software & Installer Mobile Application, Hardware Test EngineeringOwn end-to-end embedded software running on the charging (EVSE) stations with multiple hardware boards running a variety of real-time operating system (RTOS) and Linux based software for home, commercial AC, and DC fast-chargers. Also lead the hardware test engineering organization overseeing development and deployment of test equipment for diagnostic testing at manufacturing facilities. - Developed and built a completely new platform code base to support all chargers through shared code leading to easier scalability and faster time to market for current next-generation charging products- Revamp and scale the organization to be a global ones spread across 3 continents — design and build a organizational structure, hired and mentored leaders to engineers, and grew the organization to > 4x it’s size in ~3 years time- Hardware Test Engineering org built to ~35 people, and Embedded software to about ~75- Developed a first of its kind telemetry system for chargers; gathered data that is used to better analyze and predict how a charging session ends erroneously; this data is to be plugged in to new ML models as they’re developed - Worked with cross functional teams (product, hardware, manufacturing, cloud, etc) to bring ChargePoint’s most complex and flagship AC and DC chargers to market, built on a common SW platform for North America and Europe - Worked on vehicle charging protocols, OCPP (cloud communication), payment profiles, UI, power management, etc. - Developed a first of its kind react-native based mobile application for installer and serviceability of stations

Head of Hardware Devices Group; growing the team from 7 to ~50 in the span of four months. Hardware Devices Group encompassed access control and IoT smart sensor hardware for WeWork.- Developed and started execution on a plan, strategy and roadmap for Hardware/IoT Devices at WeWork bringing Hardware development to WeWork across electrical, mechanical, embedded and cloud software for devices- Designed and built an access control solution that will reduce the cost for back of the closet access control solutions by ⅓rd for each door/badge reader combination used at WeWork- Utilized WiFi and IoT sensors to build presence/occupancy analytics for WeWork & Enterprise spaces, through machine learning models used on non-PII data from WiFi access points- Managed the integration of an acquired company in Montréal Canada; restructured and consolidated organization

Managed team of ~65 people, covering web services, application development, vehicle software, software validation, program management, and factory integration.Hired, built, and mentored team to support current and future Tesla products; brought rigor and helped setup the team to deliver the highest quality car Tesla has ever builtRamped up Model 3 production from ~30 cars in the first two months to well over 5000 per week.

Owned software update and security architecture; working extensively with Silicon, HW, SW teams on secure-boot, chain-of-trust, cryptographic attestation, etc. Built a multi-disciplinary team across firmware, OS tools, security architects, and distributed systems (backend and frontend).

Built a multi-disciplinary team across firmware (BSP), frameworks, tools, applications, and program management. - Delivered year-on-year updates to increase functionality and hardware/software coverage for diagnostics; leading to a significant improvement in quality of products and customer delight when experiencing the products- Developed a new manufacturing board support package platform that improved yield and throughput throughout Apple’s production facilities involving tight collaboration between hardware, manufacturing, test and software teams- Software involved entire stack from silicon bringup, drivers, API, and iOS / Mac application development- Worked with the silicon organization along with other teams to help guide roadmaps for future Apple silicon- Doubled the size of the team; appropriately scaled and mentored leadership
