Responsibilities:1. Leading the finite element analysis and design team for pressure vessels, heat exchangers and waste heat boilers for fertilizer, petrochemical & refinery industry.2. Resource planning & execution of design activities & FEA of equipments to ensure on time delivery.3. Coordinating with other engineering disciplines and interacting with customers & vendors. Check compliance of vendor documents with international codes, practices and project specifications.4. Calculations/recommendations for suitability of vessels for in-situ PWHT and hydrostatic testing.5. Participating in trouble shooting activities at site and root cause analysis of issues and failures.6. Fitness for service/residual life evaluation of process equipments & recommendations for operation.7. Executing piping stress/flexibility analysis using CAESAR-II as per ASME code B31.3.8. Implement methods to improve the quality and flow of FEA & Design teams.9. Platform structure and other equipment structure analysis using STAAD Pro.10. Verification & validation of latest versions of design software (viz. PV-elite & Compress) and coordinating with software developers to resolve the bugs.11. Improvements in design of proprietary equipments to enhance the operational reliability. 12. Site visit and troubleshooting the problems associated with the operation of the plant to resolve by proposing alternative solutions and preparation of Analysis report.

1. Design & analysis of penetration of steel into steel/concrete object in ANSYS10.0.2. Dynamic analysis to study the penetration performance in different target materials & ricochet angle. 3. Static analysis of fragments into steel in ANSYS10.0. 4. Dynamic analysis of fragmentation to study the effect of various parameters such as blast height, fox hole radius, maximum lethal radius and performance of fragment on different target materials using MSC/PATRAN, DYTRAN.
