Pursuing a conventional path, inshō studied actuarial sciences in London and returned to Mauritius, where he spent 18 years working in the financial sector until his true calling and passion took over. He is now a full-time self-taught artist and graphic designer. Working primarily in painting and drawing, inshō sees art as a subversive gesture through which to deliberately address societal norms and human actions in order to unmake the future that has been set into motion. Rebel at heart, his practice draws inspiration from an alternative world, reimagined through thought-provoking concepts and bold colours.
