Private Equity Group focuses on investing in real estate and fixed income and consists of:i) BM GCC Property Income Fund, Izdihar Fund and Oman Integrated Tourism Projects Fund (OITPF) which are private equity funds with focus on investing in income generating real estate assets in Oman and GCC. A. Real EstateFund Manager, BM GCC Property Income Fund. This Fund has an objective of investing in income generating real estate assets in GCC. The first tranche of the Fund owns two assets in Dubai, Movenpick Hotel, JBR and a residential building in DIP.Lead a team of professionals and have overall responsibility for i) Deal ManagementOriginating deals initial appraisal and evaluation of deals, cash flow analysis, conducting the legal, commercial, technical and tax due diligence and valuation of the asset by selecting and engaging third party service providers. ii) StructuringStructuring the transaction taking into account the ownership restrictions, tax efficiency and ease of capital raising.iii) Fund RaisingPreparing term sheet & offering documents for raising equity from investors and loan financing from banks. Negotiated shareholding agreements, limited partnership agreements & loan agreements and raised equity and loan for various acquisition completed so far,iv) Deal Closure:Negotiating the final acquisition price, Sales and Purchase Agreement, Master Lease Agreements, warranties and indemnities. Completion of the transaction by effecting the transfer of ownership.Have evaluated over USD 2 billion of hospitality, retail, commercial, logistics, schools and residential assets. Completed transaction of USD 250 million in KSA, UAE and Oman for the Fund. Close to completing transactions of USD 200 million.B. VIS is one of the largest financial services companies in Oman and has significant plans to scale up its operations in the region.The job entailed:- managing the assets of Mutual Fund and Discretionary Portfolios- lead a team of dedicated professionals analysts and portfolio managers to meet the investment objectives.- assisting in designing and launching new products to grow assets- meeting existing and potential clients to market our products.Managed the Vision Emerging GCC Fund which has about US$ 66 mn assets and invests primarily in GCC and a small portion in the MENA ex GCC region.Vision Emerging GCC Fund was the best performing GCC fund in 2006 and and 2007. In 2006 the fund gave a return of 7% as compared to a fall of 46% in MSCI GCC Index. The fund has in three years under my management given returns of 108% as compared to a fall of 5% in MSCI GCC Index. Have visited most of the region for analyzing and understanding the markets and companies.

SBI Funds Management is a jt venture of SBI, the largest bank in India and Societe Generale Asset Management and is one of the largest Mutual Funds in India.The job entailed identifying and investing in specific companies in Indian equity markets. In case of balanced funds, it also involved asset allocation between equities and fixed income. I followed the bottom up approach of investing and as a fund house were known for stock picking abilities.Managed independently two balanced funds MGF-99 and MBALF-95, two equity funds MEF and MELS-96, the IT Fund, the Index Fund and the NRI- Flexi Asset Plan with combined net assets of US$ 150m.The balanced fund managed by me was award the best fund award by ICRA Online (an associate of Moody's) for the year 2004 in India.Was also part of the team which won the best investment house for long term (for five yrs) equities in 2000 from the Economic Times & S&P Micropal.In over nine years in India, had met with almost all the top listed companies in India across different sectors and managed funds with different objectives.
