CARRILLION ALAWI LLC, Oman. Carillion Alawi LLC has been present in the Sultanate of Oman for over 45 years. During that time, it has delivered some of the most prestigious contracts in the region for key clients such as Royal Court Affairs, Zubair Corporation, Petroleum Development Oman, Majid Al Futtaim and The Wave, Muscat amongst others. Worked alongside and supported Commercial Manager for project work in remote oil and gas fields on behalf of Petroleum Development of Oman. The project turnover amounted to USD 50 million. I was involved in preparation of payment applications, variations, and final accounts. I was also involved in preparation of sub-contract agreements and certification of sub-contractor’s value of work done. I regularly monitor and reduce age ‘WIP’ by improving cash flow of the company.

Prepared Bill of Quantities, Rate built up in order to price/bid the works. Prepared payment applications, variations and led quantity take – off from drawings in accordance SMM7. Prepared final accounts for agreement with clients. Participated at bid opening and projects kick-off meetings. Coordinated bid quarries with consultants and review of tender documents in order to price special conditions.

International Construction Consortium (Pvt) Ltd is today a leading Sri Lankan general contractor with multi sector capability. Established in 1980, ICC today has seven main divisions (1) projects development division (to handle development projects either on its own or in joint venture with both local and foreign collaborators on turnkey basis or otherwise), (2) an infrastructure development division to undertake the construction of power stations, fishery harbours, irrigation structures etc., (3) a building construction division (to handle high-rise buildings, shop and office complexes and other commercial buildings, factories, warehouses, housing complexes, etc.), (4) a water supply & sanitation division, (5) road and bridge construction division, (6) a property development division and its latest addition the (7) international division to undertake the construction work overseas. Site Quantity Surveyor, working alongside with the Senior Quantity Surveyor where I led and supported taking off quantities to evaluate for value of work done for preparation of payment application. I evaluated sub-contractors’ payment applications, final accounts and variations. Involved in variation preparations of variations, final accounts and took joint measurements with consultant representative. I was also involved in preparation of cost value reconciliation (‘P&L’) for projects in monthly basis for management review.
