I am an experienced Director, with a demonstrated history of working in the civic & social organization industry. Skilled in organizational development, leadership, strategy, recruiting, and marketing. I currently work with the Fatima Bint Mohamed Bin Zayed Initiative. FBMI, as it is more commonly known, is a community development programme in Afghanistan formed by Her Highness to empower disenfranchised women in Afghanistan.I have played a vital role in the success of the initiative, helping set-up and promote the UAE’s humanitarian efforts abroad. More importantly, I lead a team responsible for the improvement in the quality of life of more than 20,000 Afghans across numerous communities inside the country allowing them access to finance and opportunity.Furthermore, as a result we promote FBMI’s cause, the FBMI carpet has become the gift of choice for both the Crown Prince’s Court and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation with both H.H. General Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan gifting FBMI carpets to dignitaries including Barack Obama and His Holiness Pope Francis.I successfully launched Mira during covid 2021 which is a social enterprise of FBMI. Where we support farmers and communities in the agriculture sector. My aim this year is to create more brand awareness on Afghan produce.As well as working with FBMI, I own and manage several other successful businesses in the areas of Investments, beauty, fashion, and hospitality. I graduated at Dubai National School and hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the American University of Sharjah. After receiving my degree, I was responsible for all marketing and communications for Safi Airways, an International Airline, before joining FBMI. I am married with three young children and speak English, Arabic, Urdu, and Dari. I am also a member of the Dubai Chamber’s Business Women Council and in my spare time, she enjoys reading, cycling, and travelling.
