A passionate Clinical Pharmacist with a strong commitment to advancing education, research, and clinical pharmacy services. Following a B. Pharmacy degree, valuable experience in pharma marketing was gained through roles as a Medical Executive at Zydus Cadila and Sandoz. The completion of a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) in 2012 marked the beginning of an academic and clinical career that spans over 11 years.In the academic field, a focus has been placed on teaching and mentoring PharmD students, alongside implementing various Clinical Pharmacy Services at an associated teaching hospital. Innovative pedagogical strategies such as Simulation Practice, Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE), Modular Teaching, and Experiential Learning Management Systems (ELMS & LMS) are employed to enhance student engagement and develop practical skills.Research interests include Pharmaceutical Care, Pharmacoeconomics, and Health Technology Assessment (HTA), with specialized expertise in Pharmacoeconomic Modeling, Decision Analysis, Machine Learning, and Data Analysis. Proficiency in statistical and modeling software such as TreeAge Pro, Python, and R supports advanced research initiatives.More than 11 postgraduate-level projects have been successfully guided, focusing on Health Outcomes Research, Pharmacoeconomic Modeling, Drug Utilization Evaluation (DUE) studies, Antibiogram Development, and Pharmaceutical Care. A Ph.D. in Pharmacoeconomic Modeling with a focus on Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus was awarded by JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research – JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty.Contributions to the pharmacy profession extend through the founding and administration of PharmD Info, an online discussion forum for Indian pharmacy professionals. Additionally, roles as a Board of Studies (BOS) member in Pharmacy Practice at JSSAHER, a core committee member for accreditation processes such as ACPE and NBA, and leadership positions in the Innovation Cell and IT teams further demonstrate a commitment to the field.Additional responsibilities include served as the Nodal Officer for Online Swayam-MOOC and as an executive member of the PharmD Alumni Association at JSSCPO, contributing to the ongoing development of pharmacy education and professional growth.
