I'm a well-rounded professional military veteran, who's experienced in applying principles of social work to individuals and families, such as clinical interventions, and macro practice. Extensive knowledge of human and industry behavior and performance, mental processes, and assessment methods such as situational assessments, conflict resolution, and effective communication. Experienced working with adults and children in both residential and inpatient psychiatric settings. Additionally, I'm highly skilled in all administrative functions and I'm a quick learner who enjoys working in a fast paced environment in effort to assist in organizational efficiency and utilization.Serving in the military gave me a foundation of respect and commitment, which lead me to my true purpose to serve the needs of my community. My career interest is in social work, specifically individual and group therapy, and case management. I'm very passionate about helping others. I desire to change the stigma of mental illnesses and improve the the quality of treatment clients receive. I enjoy psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, problem solving therapy, psychodynamic therapy, existential analysis, Carl Jung, building relationships, reducing depression, reducing anxiety, trauma, mindfulness techniques, CBT, DBT, and ACT.I'm a God fearing individual. As God is always first in my life. My family is also an important part of my life, which includes my dogs. I'm originally from California, which explains my love for the beach, but I've lived throughout the country when I served in the United States Air Force.My sincere goal in life is to be happy in any and everything in life. I enjoy yoga, watching movies, listening to music, vacationing, and spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy serving my church by helping youth find healthier methods of dealing with life's challenges.
