Oversee the Agriculture, Value Chain & Market Systems portfolio under Extreme Rural Poverty Program. In charge for leading the development and evolution of agriculture, value chain and market systems work of CARE Bangladesh under the Extreme Rural Poverty Program. He is providing guidance and technical assistance to several projects under ERPP dept., namely – SDVC, Pathways-II, Switch-Asia JVC, USAID-Agricultural Extension, SETU-II, Krishi Utsho and Shomoshti, where he is supporting project leaders to manage implementation in line with appropriate quality standards. He is also supervisor to 3 projects, namely SDVC, Pathways-II and Krishi Utsho and managing a portfolio of about 8 million USD.Supervised 3 projects from different donors (Gates Foundation, MAC Foundation & Embassy of Kingdom of Netherlands, with a total portfolio of more than USD 10 million. Lead the teams for regular execution of activities and timely reporting. Supervising one social enterprise named ”Krishi Utsho”. Worked with team closely to develop a sustainable business plan. Team leader for one project called “Galleries Lafayette Private Sector Engagement (GLPSE)”. Successfully completed it and ensured timely reporting to donors. Lead a team of 4 people there. Successfully profiled CARE Bangladesh’s market system and value chain development works in national & international platforms like – Seep network, Market Links, Market Development Forum. Provided strategic background for Shomoshti project’s sub-sector selection, intervention design, results framework developing and overseeing activities from senior level.

Oversee the Extreme Rural Poverty Programme portfolio of CARE Bangladesh consisting of 5 major projects totalling 23 mil USD. Provide leadership support to rural poverty portfolio. Lead technical aspects of extreme poverty discussion within CARE Bangladesh and beyond. Develop new projects to address extreme poverty. Ensure effective knowledge management to influence policy agenda on extreme poverty and represent CARE Bangladesh in relevant forums, network and meetings. Constantly work on to improve CARE Bangladesh's extreme poverty graduation model integrating systematic changes with Government and market. Bring synergies with women's economic empowerment programme and programme with the climate and disaster vulnerable population with a particular focus building resilient livelihood. Coordinate between donors, relevant Government counterparts and civil society organizations on profiling CARE Bangladesh's learning around working with extremely poor and the most marginalized population.Successfully leading 2 of the largest FNS and M4P projects in CARE Bangladesh, JANO & SHOMOSHTI. Supervised the completion of inception of JANO and adoption with new changes in SHOMOSHTI. Lead number of project proposal development process and successfully won two UN funded projects. Successfully activated CARE Bangladesh Market Systems working group and secured it’s place in CARE’s global market system works. Seeking and designing opportunities for scaling up of Krishi Utsho, an award-winning social enterprise of CARE. Leading CARE’s civil society engagement with National Char Alliance, Haor Advocacy Platform, Governance Advocacy Forum, National Forum for Social Protection and others. Working as the core group member of CARE Bangladesh's Country Presence Review Team which is working for developing new models of engagement considering the changing development dynamics.

Ensure following of Environmental Determinations specified in the USAID approved IEE, outlining the activities with the potential for negative environmental impacts, and specifying actions to minimize the risk of these activities. To ensure that the IEE requirements are implemented by the project team, including sub-contractors and grantees, and that all environmental impact analyses are completed as required by the IEE. Working directly with implementing partners to organize and monitor environmental compliance measures in all project activities.• Research, prepare, and draft a project-level environmental monitoring and mitigation plan (EMMP)• Conduct evaluation of potential impacts and ensure detailed studies are completed to address environmental concerns• Ensure that all program activities, including grants, contracts, and subcontracts, consider potential environmental impact, incorporate required environmental mitigation measures, and address any environmental concerns during project implementation• Establishes training requirements and responsibilities to build the capacity of local implementing partners to comply with mitigation measures• Monitors the implementation of environmental management systems through regular visits to project activities• For any potential high-risk activities, prepare a Scoping Statement and Environmental Assessment (EA) or Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)• Conduct activity-specific environmental reviews for medium risk activities• Maintain and track all compliance documentation for technical audits• Establishes the review, assessment, mitigation, and reporting responsibilities and timelines, and provides procedures and reporting formats• Coordinate as necessary with the Government of Bangladesh to process all documents required to obtain required environmental clearances, and ensure compliance with local environmental protection regulations• Research, prepare, and draft project-level PERSUAP for activities.
