Worked on Marketing cases and developed SOSTAC frameworks for businesses such as WeAre8 and Venture Zero, achieving overall first-class grades (70%+) in both first and second years. Praised by lecturers and classmates for speaking up in class and giving out insightful business cases and analysis from Asian markets to engage in topic discussions during seminars. Not only absorbing up-to-date research and theories about marketing, but applying them to real-world scenarios.My key responsibilities included:- Researching and learning outside of the lectures, aiming to not only consistently achieve first-class grades throughout all academic years, but gain a thorough understanding of the different facets of marketing and management.- Employing analytical and strategic thinking skills to throroughly assess both traditional and modern marketing techniques and management theories, using case studies, group projects, and practical experience with real companies (WeAre8 and Venture Zero)- Took on leadership roles in group projects, managing timelines and delegating tasks to ensure the successful completion of complex assignments.My time in Newcastle University has taught me more than I ever asked for, and if I were to fully write the 'What I've learnt' section, it would be pages long. I've not only learnt an abundance of employability skills, but life skills in general. Whether it be to create SOSTAC plans for startups, analysing business data to make data-driven decisions, or simply being independent and cooking my own meals, being an undergraduate student has helped me consolidate a curious mind, a collaborative spirit, and responsible attitude.

Helped to teach guitar and singing to 25 children, as well as prepare and conduct performances twice a week, for the kids' entertainment. But this role entailed so much more, it was an intense crash course on time management and communication amongst directors, the campers, and other colleagues.My key responsibilities included:- Personalised each lesson to each camper's needs (25 students overall), recognising that although there are textbook abilities and lessons to be learnt chronologically, personalising each camper's lessons with their favourite songs and parts they weren't proficient at, ultimately led to their overall satisfaction.- Built confidence amongst students in times they felt insecure about their ability or competence when performing. This was essential in lessons as part of my duty as a teacher is not only to teach, but to vigilantly monitor each student's emotional wellbeing and support them.- Worked with 3 other music counselors to form constructive plans for each instrument and ability, and to think of innovative ways to improve the experience for campers.What I learnt:- Taking initiative was vital, especially with children looking up to you for guidance; sitting still was not an option. Led a group of children to break their confidence barrier and perform on stage, sharpening their musical abilities.- Mutual respect and compromise is essential to keep a healthy work environment; especially with kids and counselors alike having silly disputes, working under these circumstances was difficult. Mediated disputes amongst colleagues, and for children, teaching them the valuable lesson of empathy and respect for others, contributing to a harmonious and cohesive community environment needed for camp.This experience has equipped me with the abilities needed to be a resilient and adaptable leader, especially in high-stakes environments like camps, where you may help shape a child's skillset and future.

I played guitar for the band of Discover Indonesia 2023 as a side-project, in conjunction withmy part-time work at Gongcha. I practiced weekly with the band, and created self-made chord sheets to make practicing easier for myself.The performance was attended by around 300 people, and some notable audience members include the Lord Mayor of the City of Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Worked and helped with opening hours of the stores, making the tea and drinks themselves, as well as helping to clean up the store afterwards for closing hours. This was more than just making drinks however, it was my first insight and experience with improving customer experience and the importance of operational efficiency.My key responsibilities included:- Making sure each drink I create and make is perfect to the specification of each customer's order. ensuring quality control, especially for tea enthusiasts looking to post their drinks on social media, which may impact business performance.- Being more than just friendly, but also insightful for customers' first time drinking Gongcha. Enhancing the customer experience by giving information about the tea itself and which toppings went well with the drink. All this was to encourage repeat purchases and create hearty first interactions with the business.What I learnt:- Operational efficiency is key in creating a fast-moving and pleasurable customer experience without inconvenience. This means remembering the recipes and having swift hand movements, although minimal, contributes to the bigger goal in sustaining a seamless and pleasing experience for the customer.- Managing time and having routine actions were also essential in keeping schedule with opening and closing hours. Memorising a sequence of actions helped in efficiently moving to continuously do activities, like turning on the machines, then preparing the teas, etc rather than scrambling around helplessly.Working at Gongcha made me realise the importance of operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment. With so many orders coming in, it was paramount to keep working efficiently, making the drinks quick and of course, with quality, for excellent customer service. Aside from the experience of being in a fast-paced environment, it instilled the profound understanding of teamwork and communication that is necessary in everyday business practice.

Wrote two articles during separate years on the school newspaper, about travel and culture.Selected to take ‘creative writer’ position for an online learning media page, and worked with a team to outline topics for each week’s issue for the month.

Managed a team of students to refurbish a classroom by repainting its walls, replacing its furniture, and pasting hand-drawn posters on the walls, before conducting final quality control checks.Taught the schoolchildren science (forces & pressure) and introductory English.Commended by teachers for interacting with the schoolchildren during breaks, and for being a good role model by teaching them about other topics, such as music, geography, and technology.
