With over 14 years of experience in Adult Social Care, I am currently a Senior Manager in the Professional Standards Team and Mental Capacity Act Lead at Wirral Council. In this role, I am responsible for leading and implementing a Quality Assurance and Improvement Framework. This includes Performance Management and Audit Compliance across the organisation. I am involved as a Theme Lead in the upcoming CQC assessment and have a pivotal role in supporting, leading and embedding a positive learning culture. This involves creating best practice guidance tools and providing expertise and specialist knowledge to the strengthen the workforce. I am also leading on reviewing and updating ASC policy and procedure in line with changing practice and statutory frameworks. I have also extensive experience in front line and management roles within Adults and Health, where I have applied my critical knowledge and expertise in making decisive decisions and taking independent actions. I have supported the service with providing advice and guidance on safeguarding adults, mental capacity, and deprivation of liberty safeguards, using my initiative and innovative methods to strengthen and improve practice. I am passionate about ensuring service users are at the heart of the assessment process and have access to a fair opportunity in their chosen career.
