I supported the Director of Portfolio Management within the Office of Information Management and Technology. I was involved in co-drafting UNDP’s strategic plan on digitalization. The purpose of the digital strategy was to enhance the UN’s ability to use new technologies to realize their goals by leveraging the digital revolution for the transformation of countries towards sustainable development. I also co-drafted a 2018 evaluation of the portfolio management office. This evaluation included a roadmap of objectives and delivery, performance indicators, achievements, return on investments, lessons learned, and a risk analysis. The evaluation was used for benchmarking, as well as a marketing tool to secure funding. I worked on a team dedicated to creating a New Learning Platform for all UNDP employees, which teaches individuals necessary skills such as agile methods. This new platform ensured business, staff and efficiency gains by 0.5% by year two. Further, I was involved in the strategic partnership with Space Climate Observatory (SCO) as I created a business case for why UNDP should partner with SCO in order impact climate change policy on a macro and micro level.
I worked closely with the Assistant Director of Development. I engaged in several event planning, prospective donor research, and donor relations projects. Much of my work consisted of maintaining positive stewardship with Community Impact's strategic partnerships. Further, I assisted in managing Community Impact's social media presence. I also co-planned and facilitated with the Annual Fall Auction Gala, which resulted in approximately $200,000 in contributions. The work I was responsible for, in donor relations and prospective donor research, involved making solicitation calls, writing acknowledgment letters, and working on the Raiser's Edge database.

I assisted the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Development and Strategic Partnerships. I started as an intern in June 2017 with the development department, and was hired as an assistant once I completed the internship program. My work consisted of drafting fundraising/grant proposals and correspondence with key stakeholders to secure funding for university programs. I assisted in the cultivation and stewardship of relationships with corporations, law firms, and private individuals. Additionally, I coordinated logistics for development events, projects, and meetings to help produce new strategic partnerships. A few of the large-scale events I worked on were the Minority Student Program's 50th Anniversary, Annual Scholarship Dinner, and Giving Day. Much of my time was spent researching prospective donor leads, preparing gift reports, and collaborating in planning stewardship events. I also co-created innovative strategies to promote a culture of philanthropy and engaged in research analytics in regards to current trends in rates of giving.

I started as a Environmental Justice & Community Development intern in June 2016, and was hired as a research assistant afterward. My work included promoting housing justice to community members under the Environmental Justice Division. I directed bilingual neighborhood and citywide outreach programs to gather support for issues such as predatory housing practices. I also assisted Ironbound Community Corporation at city council hearings and external stakeholder meetings to oppose urban developments that would negatively impact the Ironbound neighborhood. I designed a map of the Ironbound neighborhood, utilizing google maps, to determine rent controlled homes in the area. Some of my time was spent presenting my team with research data and analytic reports about gentrification in urban communities. I conducted community surveys at meetings and door to door. Furthermore, I helped with the development of an Inclusionary Zoning policy that was under review the City of Newark. This policy would have create more affordable housing units for community members.
