About Sadie Crapper
I am a senior junior practitioner approaching 19 years' Call who works predominantly in personal injury and police law claims. My practice now concentrates on catastrophic/high value injury claims and I am regularly instructed as sole Counsel against Silks. For defendants, I act across the full range of claims and take pride in giving each case my full commitment and working hard to achieve the best outcome for my clients in, typically, high value or difficult claims, often with dishonesty aspects given my reputation in these claims following Summers v Fairclough Homes, Fari and Homes for Haringey and the NHS's first FD/committal claim, Atwal v Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. My claimant work is focused on difficult disputes in serious injury cases where I enjoy making a difference in the lives of ordinary people who have suffered extraordinary hardship. Notable claimant claims include Everett v Dyer [2019] EWHC 2049 (QB) and XRS v DBV, 28 March 2023, KBD unreported save as to anonymity order.Alongside my injury practice, I retain a specialist interest and experience in police law claims and am lead junior in the Police Overtime Claims Litigation, currently leading a team of three junior barristers in Chambers.

Self-Employed BarristerI am a senior junior practitioner approaching 19 years' Call who works predominantly in personal injury and police law claims. My claimant work is focused on difficult disputes in serious injury cases where I enjoy making a difference in the lives of ordinary people who have suffered extraordinary hardship. Notable claimant claims include Everett v Dyer [2019] EWHC 2049 (QB) and XRS v DBV, 28 March 2023, KBD unreported save as to anonymity order.Alongside my injury practice, I retain a specialist interest and experience in police law claims. I have been instructed by the Police Federation on multiple claims for over 15 years including the Police Overtime Claims Litigation which is a quasi-group action involving over a thousand former Covert Human Intelligence Source Handlers and Undercover Officers bringing qua-employment claims in the High Court for unpaid pay and allowances. The first generation of these claims culminated in the Court of Appeal decision of Allard v CC of Devon and Cornwall [2015] EWCA Civ 42; [2015] WLR 45. The second generation led to the successful 3-week trial of lead CHIS Handler claims in 2022 - KSO and others v Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis [2022] EWHC 2514 (KB). The Undercover Officer lead claim trial is scheduled for 2024.
