I took on the role of President in my final year of university. During this time we raised over £400 at our sold-out quiz with CoppaFeel, more than quadrupled our Facebook likes and won an award for Most Improved Branch. We also made huge steps in streamlining our work as a committee, increased volunteer involvement, and received excellent feedback stating that 100% of teaching institutions wanted us to return.

I progressed to Vice President after a year on the committee. We drastically expanded our reach, increasing the number of teaching sessions by 450% from last year, and arranging free STI testing at the student's union in partnership with Leeds Sexual Health. We also won the Leeds for Life Citizenship Award for our contribution to education and the Riley Award for inclusivity, the latter of which I wrote the application for.

I compiled an extensive database of local schools and youth groups to assist with targeting support, established valuable relationships with local teaching institutions, and arranged for our first sessions to be delivered.

I spent my year in industry as the Project and Outreach Assistant for Basis Yorkshire, a charity who support female sex workers and children at risk of sexual exploitation. I was responsible for taking the lead on both major annual campaigns, which received exceptional feedback on our ability to centre voices of victims and survivors. I also aided in recruitment of the new Project and Outreach Assistant and took on plenty of regular tasks throughout the year, such as submitting crime reports, controlling social media accounts, creating informative posters, leaflets and newsletters, and running drop-in and organising outreach.
