I deliver IT!In January 2009 I started my IT career working for free for a month leading me to a 2 hour a day contract role for 10 weeks. This got me a 6 week full time contract as an IT Service Desk Technician which eventually became permanent role and within two years I was promoted to an IT Manager. I simply worked hard (and continue to do so)! I have been working in the Not for Profit and Membership space since May 2009.My experience of leading IT teams has enabled me to understand IT infrastructure, networks and applications. Therefore I have the ability to see holistically and am able to work in fine technical detail. My style of work varies depending on the culture of the organisation, resources available, timescale and individuals involved in the project. My last few roles have included project management and involved managing stakeholder requirements from Users to Director level and from Technical teams to Third parties. I have formed teams and most of the time worked with existing teams. I am known as the 'enabler' by connecting the correct parties to deliver. Technical teams include: Infrastructure and Network, BI & Apps, Application Developers, Website Developers, Data Analyst and Subject Matter Experts. I have been part of the full project life cycle from project initiation to closure in projects including recovering failing projects.In my role at RIBA I upgraded the CRM application as a Technical lead for the forth time in the last three organisations and I then moved on to managing IT Infrastructure and application projects as a Project Manager. I now work as Project Manager.
