Professionally, I am a botanist (Plant Taxonomist). I have worked at Karachi University Herbarium as a "Plant Taxonomist" for one and half years and completed a project funded by the Pakistan Science Foundation on qualitative and quantitative assessment of airborne pollen in the atmosphere. I joined WWF-Pakistan in 2007 as an NRM office and worked at the Chotiari Reservoir and the surrounded lakes. We completed our first field guidebook on natural vegetation and learned a lot about nature and associated wildlife during this period. I highlight a healthy population of smooth-coated otters, endangered fishing cats, and marsh crocodiles in the area with photographic evidence. Later from 2013 to 2015, I worked on a different component of the fisheries sector, such as fisheries resource appraisal in creeks of the Indus Delta, assessment and improvement of troll fisheries of Sur Bander, crew-based observer program, etc. During 2016 I joined WWF's Chitral office and worked to conserve Snow Leopard and associated natural resources under Asia's High Mountain Project. I am currently working in the Indus Delta to conserve mangrove forests.
