I'm an associate professor of Translation Studies at Allameh Tabataba’i University, Tehran, where I have been teaching translation-related courses since 2010 as a visiting lecturer, and since 2015 as a permanent faculty member. I have published several papers in (inter)national journals, mainly within the areas of translation/interpreting pedagogy, evaluation, and professionalism, as well as the cultural and sociological aspects of translation. In addition, I have presented papers at various (inter)national conferences. My publications include, among others, (co-)authoring a textbook on ‘Consecutive Interpreting’ published by ATU Press, a book chapter in ‘Translation in the Digital Age: Translation 4.0’ published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing, and a book chapter in ‘Strange Vistas: Perspectives on the Utopian’ published by Peter Lang. I have also supervised tens of theses and dissertations in the field of translation and interpreting. Besides teaching and researching, I've had a number of managerial positions at my university, the most important one being the director of ATU Press. My professional experience as an English <> Persian (Farsi) translator/interpreter dates back to 2007.
