I am a creative, engaging and experienced educator, trainer and consultant providing business, cultural, and language services to global organizations. https://koreakonnect.info/My main focus is intercultural training on South Korean, US, and German cultures for global organizations. I prepare German, American and other business managers or educators on their international assignments to South Korea and the US. Vice versa, I help South Koreans with their organizational as well as specific cultural adjustment needs and international move to Germany and the USA. As a trainer with a strong background in social and racial justice work from the US, I am also available to offer meaningful educational programs to schools and organizations to promote DEIB efforts. Finally, I assist clients and their families with their cultural adjustment process and concerns living in a new country. As a former international educator at two major American universities, I possess strong diversity awareness, interpersonal skills, intercultural communication skills, immigration advising, student services, interactive teaching methods, conflict resolution, interpersonal counseling and crisis management experience. I also have extensive experience with K to 12 students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds as a Teaching Artist from Wisconsin, USA, sharing my passion for Korean culture via traditional arts and folk music in educational settings. In addition, I continue to offer Korean/English interpreting on a freelance basis as a medical and business interpreter via remote, telephonic, and on-site services in the European/Asian/US time zones. As an expat and "trailing spouse" to Germany, I have faced challenging cultural adjustment issues personally and have actively worked on strategies to overcome them. I can relate to internationals in Germany with their personal concerns, cultural differences, feeling of isolation , and professional challenges. I have totally been there! In 2021 I proudly restarted my small food business, Kosari Kimchi, offering authentic, artisanal, small batch, handmade Kimchi. I created new connections with the local food vendors and farmers.
