For a Senior Network and Security Engineer at Melal Bank, days are far from being routinely monotonous or boring. This is due to exciting changes happening around and the number of tasks to be done as fast as possible with a huge responsibility for about 400 bank's branches, Over 2000 ATMs and Cashlesses nation wide. Using updated and new technologies to keep the WAN and Data Center network fast, safe and secure was my main and critical job there. Some of my responsibilities at Melal Bank are as follow:• Maintain WAN routing fabric and work with large number of Cisco routers such as ISR and ASR series besides implementing HA and fault tolerant in any layer• Securing ingress traffic with cisco ASA and Firepower firewalls with routine access policies, IPS and Geo-location rules at WAN edge layer. Deploy zero trust architecture in Data Center network layer.• Maintain Datacenter Network with cisco Nexus 5K and 7K series and Fabricpath as the overlay with VPC as the High Availability solution• Actively working with F5 application delivery solution to publish corporation's sites and services securely and load balanced on the internet• Supervising other administrators' configurations and duties to be flawless using PAM solutions• Maintain secure VPN access to sensitive corporation's data for managers and directors using up to date remote access VPNs• Co-operate with software team to design and build microservice architecture with Docker and Kubernethes solutions to achieve fast and reliable service infrastructure• Automate some routine tasks like daily backup of infrastructure with simple Ansible playbooks Show less
