Jacob White Construction is a design-build commercial construction and development company located in the greater Houston area. I have been tasked with improving internal financial reporting, monitoring job costs and overhead, strengthening internal controls and improving policies and procedures while working in tandem with other members of the executive team.

D'Ambra Construction is a reinforcing steel contractor providing turnkey solutions. Headquartered and active in Houston, we are also involved in major construction projects in the DFW Metroplex, Austin, San Antonio and El Paso. I led the team that transitioned D'Ambra and its related parties from QuickBooks accounting software to the Sage 300 For Real Estate & Construction platform. I monitor all work-in-progress schedules, including job cost reports, job profitability analysis, change orders and the related costs in excess of billings & billings in excess of costs calculations. I also provide the construction operations managers with detailed job cost reports and respond to their inquiries so they may better manage their projects.

Republic Well Testing is an oilfield services company headquartered in Houston, with field offices in Bryan, Texas, Marshall, Texas and Andrews, Texas. As Chief Financial Officer, I am responsible for financial reporting, budgeting & forecasting, management of our multi-million dollar equipment portfolio and the related asset tracking and personal property renditions. Oversight of annual review of our financial statements by outside accountants as well as tax return preparation. As chief liaison with outside lender, was able to successfully negotiate a reduction in interest rates on both our line of credit and equipment term loans, saving the Company tens of thousands of dollars in interest charges on an annual basis in the process. Also provide information and respond to inquiries from both our primary and mezzanine lenders, which include the monthly financial reporting package, covenant compliance monitoring and the related calculations.

Report directly to the President/CEO and responsible for all accounting, financial reporting, analytical review, budgeting, forecasting, treasury & tax functions. Oversee preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements, including Canadian, Chinese & Taiwanese subsidiaries and "stand alone" profit & loss statements for all five U.S. branches. File the "Freeport exemption" certificate with the tax assessor's office resulting in annual property tax savings of approximately $60,000. Member of the Company's Credit Committee and chief liaison with the outside lender, namely for special financial reporting requirements, asset audits and inventory appraisals.

Oversaw entire accounting, treasury management, budgeting & forecasting and tax functions. Established first formal budgeting & sales forecasting model and disaster recovery plan in the history of the Company. Filed annually a "Freeport exemption" with the tax assessor's office resulting in annual savings of more than $100,000 in property taxes. Identified, quantified and summarized all R&D tax credit eligible activities resulting in income tax savings of approximately $700,000 covering a three year period.

Managed business valuation and litigation support engagements (lost profits and damages), including financial statement analysis and review of SEC filings (1999-2001). Team Leader in Entrepreneurial Services Department (1992-1999) responsible for training and supervising staff of 20+ personnel on various engagements including, but not limited to, financial reporting, consulting, income tax and IRS representation. Performed detailed review of individual, corporate and partnership income tax returns as well as year-end tax planning for wealthy clientele.

Accounting Supervisor responsible for monthly financial reporting package and annual audit liaison. Supervised staff of four that oversaw cash, accounts payable, payroll and the fixed asset reporting & depreciation system. Performed special projects at the request of the parent companies including profitability analysis, budgeting, forecasting and capital expenditure ROI.
