I served as a Graduate Research Assistant in multiple labs throughout graduate school.

In partnership with the DePaul Migrative Collaborative, I served as the lead research associate to assess community needs in the field of migration in the Chicagoland area. Part of my responsibilities included facilitation of focus groups and town halls to assess community needs; qualitative data cleaning and analysis, thematic coding and research dissemination which involved production of evaluation reports and White Paper for stakeholders.

Contracted to assess mental health needs of students in the McNair Scholars Program. This role required the creation of a needs assessment questionnaire, facilitation and leading of focus group to assess mental health needs, analysis of qualitative data, and production of final evaluation report and informed reccomendations for stakeholders

As a Senior Program Evaluator for the Mobile Crisis Response Unit, which focuses on evaluating outcomes of mental health calls, my duties included participating in implementation team and interagency workgroup meetings; providing support around planning the program evaluation; working on REDCap survey development and upkeep; meeting with clinical representatives, onboarding and training new research assistants; data tracking (e.g., track number of and type of response to mental health calls made to police departments), creating monthly mental health reports for 9 police departments, tracking program goals and provide agencies with data updates, provide quarterly and yearly data report on mental health calls, police response and substance use to Funder alongside other program evaluation responsibilities as needed.

Track internal developments of McNair Scholars program curriculum, assist in logic model creation for new programming, create rubric to assess program participant attainment of program goals, assist in focus group facilitation, create final evaluation report for dissemination

In my role as a research assistant for the Sit Down and Play lab I recruited and pre-screened potential participants for the study, reviewed, obtained and entered data for informed consent participants, I was trrained to deliver “Sit Down and Play” evidence-based intervention to foster positive parenting practices and language skills targeting low-income populations and trained other research assistants on the program delivery, conducted follow-up video observational assessments, managed qualitative and quantitative data, collected survey materials and scored validated measures, led specific projects within the larger ongoing K23 Study, served as the Project Lead for editing and creating information content for study pamphlets and website and coordinated research assistant schedules delegated tasks, mentored and trained new research assistants on program goals and practices
