High voltage substations pose significant risks, and as maintenance engineer must follow proper safety procedures to protect themselves and their colleagues.• Preventive Maintenance: Developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for different substation components This involves cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts before they reach the end of their service life, reducing the likelihood of breakdowns.• Transformers and Switchgear Maintenance: Managing maintenance tasks related to transformers, circuit breakers, disconnect switches, and other essential substation equipment This includes oil analysis, insulation testing, Gas analysis, and monitoring contact resistances.• Breakdown Maintenance: Responding to emergencies and unplanned breakdowns promptly Analyzing the root cause of failures and taking corrective actions to restore normal operations as quickly as possible.• Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining comprehensive records of maintenance activities, test results, and equipment condition assessments. Generating reports to document the status of equipment and recommend necessary improvements or replacements.• Environmental Compliance: Ensuring that maintenance practices align with environmental regulations and guidelines, particularly regarding the handling and disposal of hazardous substances like insulating oils.

An Electrical Engineer Have Experiences Of Installation And Commissioning testing :1- High Voltage and medium voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear Also(DC Contact Resistance , Operation timing testing) .2- Power Transformer Accessories And Devices Also (IR & PI, TTR, DC winding resistance and Dissipation factor Testing).3- Protection Panel , Low Voltage Panel Board, Dc Panel And DC Chargers , Cables Laying And Wiring Between Substation Panels. 4- Switchyard Area Structures And Equipment .5- Grounding And Lightning Protection System Including Exothermic Welding also Earthing mesh resistance testing.6- VT (IR, Dc winding resistance , ratio, polarity, secondary injection, loop Resistance , primary injections testing).7- CT (IR, Dc winding resistance , ratio, polarity, secondary injection, Burden , primary injections testing).
