-Performed novel in vivo and in vitro biomedical imaging experiments to study partial oxygen pressure (pO2) in biomaterials and small animals using the preclinical oxygen imager JIVA-25TM.-Studied oxygen diffusion behaviors of biomaterials and cell encapsulated devices in vivo and in vitro for research papers and competitive funding proposals (NIH).-Processed and analyzed electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) oxygen images and data of various projects, author manuscripts and abstracts, generate presentations and SOPs, and support projects in engineering, biology, and chemistry departments.-Developed resonators using 3D printing and RF circuit design and perform verification tests via network analyzers.

-Awarded NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates Grant for development of incubator-resonator unit enabling in situ imaging of mammalian cells. -Contributed to in vivo and in vitro EPR imaging of various biomaterials to study partial oxygen pressure using the preclinical oxygen imager JIVA-25TM.

-Undertook the supervision of two interns working on projects to reduce UIC’s overall water and energy use as per UIC’s Climate Action Commitment Plan-Led UIC’s participation in the International Freezer Challenge aimed at optimizing sustainability of freezer management in laboratories by saving 94 kWh per day-Designed and led the Flames Wash Cold Campaign under supervision to achieve 15% reduction in energy use in campus housing-Worked alongside the Asst. Vice Chancellor to determine the scope of the UIC Climate Action Plan
