After graduating from IIT Madras with a B-tech in mechanical engineering, I joined TATA steel,Jamshedpur as a manager trainee. During my stay there I lead a team tasked with integrating a system to the production line of steel rebars which can provide an accurate count of rebars per bundle. A vision-based solution was proposed and a demo was developed and built. Another project I worked on was to built a robotic guidance system so as to eliminate manual labor during certain dangerous procedures at the production line. After a year of working at TATA steel, I joined robotics lab in the engineering design department at IIT Madras as a project associate, I was focusing mainly on developing a novel six degree of freedom platform that can be used primarily in medical rehabilitation. Several kinematic and dynamic models for the system was developed. After a rigorous analysis, an optimized design was proposed and built. Multiple publications came out of this project. I was also part of a team which developed a truck simulator.
