Across the last 25 years I have led organisations in H&S Strategy, Leadership & Governance processes. I have gained experience across many industries including in Petro-chem, Dairy Manufacturing & Logistics, Food Manufacturing, Postal and Courier Services, Retail, Print & Media. My safety journey started with the eight years I spent working for DuPont in New Zealand and Australia, then built on this with experiences leading safety at Goodman Fielder, Fonterra, and NZ Post. I then headed back to Australia to Woolworths and APN News and Media, followed by a return to NZ and Fonterra. Here I was General Manager - H&S for their Global Operations Business Unit and led an Operational Safety team of over 50 Safety practitioners and professionals, this was followed by a move into the role of GM - Global H&S Frameworks providing the organisation with its Global H&S Framework and Assurance processes.Following my second stint at Fonterra, I was the Director of H&S Advisory Services at Simpson Grierson, providing premium consulting services to clients who wanted practical advice from experienced senior safety practitioners supported by great legal experience from a full service law firm. This was followed by GM - Health, Safety and Wellbeing at The Warehouse Group, a new role established to develop and deliver a new HS&W strategy and level of performance to the 12.000 team members and the 2 million people who visit TWG stores every week. Now - I am running my own consultancy, using my qualifications and considerable real-world experience to provide solutions that will make a difference to my clients understanding of Health & Safety and ultimately the safety improvement for their organisations.
