•Lead Coordinator on the project•Mentor employees in hazard identification, safe work behaviours and processes, compliance with corporate HSE policies and procedures as well as OHS Legislation•Create and present toolbox talks, weekly safety meetings.•Take part in workplace inspections•Implement leading indicator safety programs including a behaviour based observation program. Ensure trending and education are provided to all employees based on identified hazards and at-risk behaviours to prevent loss•Create an action log, track corrective actions and completion•Present site specific orientations, LOTO and Respiratory Awareness Programs, and Fit Test employees•Conduct incident investigations, identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Enter incident data into corporate incident tracking program•Responsible for assisting in the maintenance and improvements of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System•Responsible for supervising health and safety daily activities•Provide corporate office with necessary information to minimize claims and maintain worker safety, recovery& minimize litigation•Establish and maintain maintenance of filing, storage and archiving of all safety records •Assist Project management with jobsite setup in regards to H&S documenting system •Ensure pre access, reasonable cause, post incident and RSAP alcohol and drug testing are carried out in accordance with the Canadian model and collective agreements.•Coordinate action plans with other levels of HSE Coordinators company and corporation wide.•Lead by example, work as a team, and respect fellow employess.
