I am a Construction Safety Manager at NYU Langone Health, one of the nation's premier academic medical centers, with over 10 years of experience in environmental health and safety. I hold a Master of Public Health degree in Occupational Safety and Environmental Health. I hold certifications as a certified safety professional (CSP) as well as a construction health and safety technician (CHST) from the board of safety professionals. I also maintain a certification as a Healthcare Emergency Preparedness Coordinator (CHEP). My core competencies include the implementation and development of safety programs that include the use of preventing, tracking, mitigating, and training for risk in order to prevent loss in the fields of construction and demolition within all building classifications; hazardous chemical/biological spills; fire life safety systems and hazards, ergonomics and occupational safety; work place violence prevention; and emergency management integration catered for complex industries and across multiple geographical and system wide complexities.I currently oversee the safety of all construction and renovation projects across multiple campuses and facilities, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 standards, HRSA regulatory standards, and NFPA 101 codes. I also lead regulatory audits for all construction projects across the NYULH enterprise. My ongoing goal is to maintain the highest level of safety and quality for all those I both lead and serve including NYU’s patients, staff, and visitors. My mission is to create, maintain, and teach others how to ensure a safe and healthy work environment exists for all stakeholders, while supporting the vision and goals of NYU Langone Health.
