• Specimen Reception: checking for minimum requirement to follow SOPs set by laboratory information management system.• Plate Culturing and Streaking: streaking samples and making agar plates to isolate microbial cultures.Utilizing plate culture techniques to identify and grow microorganisms.• Gram Staining: using gram stains to distinguish between different bacterial species.Interpreting the results correctly by distinguishing gram positive from gram negative bacteria.• Agar Selection:selection of suitable agar plates depending on the samples such as chromogenic plate for UTI and MRSA,differential and selective plate such as macConkey for gram negative bacteria and CNA plate for gram positive bacteria.• Microbial Identification: Experience about both manual and automatic Vitek technologies for identifying microbes,successfully performed several tests, including oxidase, catalase, and coagulase assays, to categorize bacteria.API test to further identify and categorize bacteria based on biochemical mechanisms.• Antibiotic Sensitivity Testing: Tests to determine the sensitivity of antibiotics, ensuring the selection of suitable medicines for patient therapy using standardized techniques to assess the antibiotic susceptibility of microorganis by using automatic technique VITEK or doing manually by using disk dispenser.
