As a Medical Assistant, I provided direct patient care to children and families, ranging from physical exams and vaccinations to lab tests and billing. I also completed a BS in Chemical Engineering with a Biochemical Engineering Concentration and a minor in Biological Sciences from University of Illinois Chicago, where I have excelled academically and received multiple honors and scholarships.In addition, I have developed my research and leadership skills as a Science Peer Leader for Analytical Chemistry and a ChicagoCHEC Research Fellow, working with leading scholars and mentors on topics such as health disparities, social determinants of health, and emerging medical technologies. I am passionate about improving health outcomes and access for underserved populations and its disproportionate impact on marginalized communities. My goal is to apply my education and experience to the field of medicine, and to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
