The GCC team manages four key areas: Investment Communications, Financial Reporting, Media Relations and Issues Management. Through our corporate communications activities, we share CPPIB’s story in an open and transparent manner with key audiences globally, helping to preserve trust in CPPIB both in Canada and abroad. GCC disclosure areas include the quarterly release of investment results and the Annual Report, which contain extensive information about Fund performance and investment activities. We strive for consistent disclosure at the organizational level and within investment programs, recognizing that each program has unique legal, competitive and practical requirements.

The Speechwriting team's mandate is mainly to research and draft public and private speeches for the Governor and other Governing Council members, as well as to assist in the drafting of major publications such as the Monetary Policy Report.As Communications Specialist, I assist the senior writers on the team (and other stakeholders involved in the speechwriting process) by providing technical expertise for numerous applications used in the drafting and delivery of Governing Council speeches and their associated multi-media accompaniments. This requires liaising with a broad range of executives and subject-matter experts across the organization. Additionally I provide editorial support, research assistance, project management, and general organizational skills to the team.

The System Support and Business Analysis (SSBA) Team provides business analysis and systems support activities contributing to the development, enhancement, and support of systems used in the operations and wholesale debt administration.The team provides analytic, project management, and business/system support to externally driven initiatives (e.g., Canadian Payments Association, Continuous Linked Settlement, Canadian Depository for Securities, and Government of Canada). As well, through planning and Business/ITS relationships the SSBA Team provides analysis and guidance to the prioritization and delivery of ITS changes and projects for the department.The team also contributes to the continuous improvement of business and support processes; documentation; and, tools used for identifying, measuring and monitoring operational risk.
