Syngas New Market ManagerJohnson Matthey Jun 2015 - Apr 2019London, Greater London, GbMy newly created role is in the commercial team of the Syngas business unit within the Process Technologies division with my role being to look for new market areas to generate new revenue outside our current markets. The key areas we are focussing on are new syngas conversion technologies and using renewables as feedstocks. The requirement is to provide a portfolio of projects with different levels of risk, which essentially means the time and cost of getting to market. The strategic development roadmap we are developing starts by looking for synergies to our established products and customers/partners. In the renewables space we are looking at areas such as Power to Gas (P2G), biomass to power and Energy from Waste (EfW). These areas involve using our current products with new feedstocks and new ways of thinking compared to our traditional technology areas as they are generally a much smaller scale, are decentralised and involve working with new partners.
