A Stanford graduate who is passionate about the climate transition through effective communication and strategic initiatives.Originally Icelandic, Saga graduated in 2022 from Stanford University with her MA degree in Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies. Her research focused on the geopolitical shifts taking place in the Arctic as a result of climate change. From the University of Iceland, she holds a BA in Russian Studies and a graduate diploma in Environment and Natural Resources. She has worked as a product marketing manager for Kerecis, a biotech company -Iceland’s first unicorn - that produces revolutionary healthcare skin grafts from discarded cod fish skin, thus contributing both to the circular economy whilst saving patients’ lives through innovation. She has also worked as an ESG and sustainability analyst for two financial organizations and as a podcast co-host for the Arctic Institute. Saga is currently a sustainability analyst at Landsbankinn and co-chair of Stanford Alumni for Climate Action (SACA).
