As a Professional Engineer (P.ENG) with experience in the electrical engineering consulting industry, I bring a unique combination of technical expertise and interpersonal skills to my work. Over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to work on hundreds of high-profile private and public sector projects across a wide range of sectors, including banking, commercial, education, transportation, data centers, and more.In my current role as a lead design engineer and project manager on the security/systems engineering team, I have had the privilege of working with some of the most notable clients in the industry, including TD Bank, BMO, Manulife, TTC, Metrolinx, Cadillac Fairview, and more. As a designer, I have used Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit to create electrical drawings for security engineering, including access control and alarm monitoring, intrusion, intercommunications, and video surveillance, but a significant part of my role as a senior member of the team involves client relations, project management, mentorship, reviewing work of junior and intermediate designers, training and mentorship.In addition to my technical work, I also play a key role in project management, working closely with clients, multi-disciplined engineering teams, consultants, architects, and project managers to support projects from initial design and tender to construction and closeout. I represent the company at key design meetings and construction meetings, perform walk-throughs and site reviews to determine on-site progress and performance, and assist in project costing and budgeting.My experience has also allowed me to develop strong leadership and mentoring skills, as I train new employees and assign and review the work of junior designers and engineers-in-training.
