Here at Reckitt’s Microbiome Management Science Platform, I am involved in identifying technological gaps for new R&D initiatives supporting our multiple cross-functional business units, mapping new R&D projects, leading the projects and providing technical expertise.

Conducting research through the application of microbiological and molecular biology methods and approaches in support of business directed probiotic and microbiome projects.

In the challenging and exceptionally rewarding role of Senior Research Investigator for the University of Pennsylvania, I was tasked with deploying and orchestrating far-reaching scientific inquiries examining observable connections between a variety of major cancers and microbiome. This required the ability to routinely engage in sophisticated experimental trials in a continuous effort to formulate evidence-based hypotheses and establish conclusions, as well as composing manuscripts for publication. Leveraging my leadership abilities, I supervised and skillfully guided a small team of diverse investigators. I relished the many growth opportunities this position afforded me. In serving in a project leader capacity, I was responsible for managing numerous initiatives at one time. In playing an essential role in experimental design creation and facilitation, I regularly coordinated with research specialists, molecular biologists, pathologists, and bioinformaticians to launch innovative endeavors involving array-based method of identifying microbiome and virome in human tissue samples, the collection and analysis of microbiome detections and associated biological data, and provided essential aid to research personnel in conducting bench studies.

In serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow for the University of Pennsylvania, I led ambitious efforts to conceptualizeand commanded in-depth research exercises to scrutinizethe role of small viral non-coding RNAs upregulated created following lytic reactivation of Epstein-Barr virus. I was also involved in the development and introduction of inventive array-based methods of detecting microorganisms in a broad range of tissue and fluid samples.During my tenure, I excelled at performing crucial data assessment and interpretation, meticulously examining key experimental results and observable correlations, and deciphering distinct microbial signatures in breast, oral, ovarian and prostate cancers. I employed an array-based detection system to diagnose otherwise unknown infections, and was successful in publishing peer-reviewed manuscripts and high-impactnews releases including Finding the Needle in a Microbial Haystack: Penn Researchers Test New Pathogen Detection Technology and Penn Researchers Decode Microbial Signature of Aggressive Form of Breast Cancer.

Engaged in insightful studies examining the role of epigenetics in glutamate transporter EAAT2 regulation in Neuro-AIDS. Played leading role in executing bench assays, performing data analysis, and conducting interpretation.

At New York University School of Medicine, I applied my skillset as a Postdoctoral Fellow to engaged in assay development and design, experiment preparation and implementation, and in-depth data interpretation. This resulted in the materialization of breakthrough functional methods for selecting human monoclonal antibodies in combatting HIV.
