I have been associated with Symbiosis International University since 2010 and am also a published author. For over a decade, I have researched and studied the impacts of rampant digitalization of our lives, particularly on kids and young adults and out of this journey, I established, along with my partner Vishakha, Lifearcadia. The initiative is based on the understanding that our children live in a world today that is infinitely more complex than the one we grew up in. The explosion of digital technology and smartphone technology has fundamentally re-engineered our lives over the last 2 decades. While the internet carries huge potential, we are increasingly introducing our kids to a world, the rules of which we ourselves aren’t fully aware of. The always tricky art of ‘child rearing’, has now entered new uncharted waters! Today’s parents face the almost impossible task of trying to inculcate a set of values and principles into their ward at a time when we are witnessing: What makes this worse is that unlike the ‘real or physical world’, there are no veterans in the ‘digital world’. In other words, regardless of when you were born, the digital revolution hit your lives only 10 years ago!
