Sagar Shah serves as Managing Principal of Yatra Capital Group, a privately-held commercial real estate investment and asset management firm with holdings in the hospitality and senior housing space. The portfolio includes hotels and assisted living facilities in various states in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States. Sagar received his Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) with Finance & Accounting concentrations from Drexel University's LeBow College of Business in Philadelphia in 2012. He earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Hospitality and Service Industries Management from the Glion Institute of Higher Education in Glion-sur-Montreux, Switzerland in 2018 – ranked amongst the world’s top institutions for hospitality and leisure management. As a life-long learner, he has continued advanced coursework at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Sagar holds a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) designation from the American Hotel & Lodging Association as well as a Certified Hotel Owner (CHO) designation from the Asian American Hotel Owner’s Association.Advocacy work for the hospitality industry is a passion of Sagar’s and he currently sits on the Executive Board of Pennsylvania’s Americana Region, the convention and visitor’s bureau for Berks County, Pennsylvania. Sagar is President & Co-Founder of Reform Lodging, a 1,900 member strong hotel owner advocacy organization and hospitality think tank formed in April 2020, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. He is regularly quoted by hospitality industry publications and international media outlets such as The Real Deal, Wall Street Journal, Lodging Magazine, and more. Sagar is additionally a contributor to Hospitality Insights, a global hotel media platform as a member of their Inner Circle - a group of international hospitality industry thought leaders and innovators. Outside of work, Sagar is a major car enthusiast, appreciates fine architecture & design, pursues residential rehab opportunities, and enjoys spending quality time with his friends & family.
