Sage Naumann is a political professional, conservative commentator, and small business owner. By day, Sage works in the Colorado State Capitol as the Communications Director for the Colorado Senate Republicans. By night, he runs Naumann Consulting, a design and web strategy firm for small businesses, non-profit organizations, and political campaigns.Originally raised in Carlsbad, California, Sage and his wife Sara moved to Colorado in late 2017. Sara and Sage are currently homeowners in Brighton with their cat, Groucho, and their Basset Hound, Milton.As Communications Director for the Colorado Senate Republicans, Sage manages all communications efforts for the caucus of fifteen Republican State Senators. This includes social media, website updates and design, press releases, interview coordination, and overall communications strategy. Unlike many with the same title, Sage is often quoted in local papers, on local T.V., and even credited with his own bylines.Previous to his arrival in Colorado, Sage served as the Digital Manager, Digital Director, Deputy Executive Director, and finally as Executive Director of the Republican Party of San Diego County from 2015 to 2017. Under Sage’s leadership, the Party rebuilt its GOTV precinct operations, which led to more door-to-door volunteers deployed countywide than any time since the 2004 General Election (over 700 volunteers). He oversaw and managed all social media accounts, leading to a 81% increase in Facebook followers and managed all email messaging and database growth, leading to a 100% increase in subscribers. He helped organize and manage the annual Lincoln Reagan Dinner in 2015, 2016, and 2017 setting a fundraising record each year (770 attendees and $420,000 in 2017). Sage is has also been heavily involved in his community. He currently serves as a Commissioner for the City of Brighton.One of Sage’s greatest sources of inspiration is his brother, Dylan, who was born with cerebral palsy. Sage has continually advocated for the rights and resources for those who are special needs at every level of government. He also passionate about substance abuse and addiction programs, as both his parents are alcoholics. Sage’s mother, Tamara, passed away from the disease in 2015 at just 44 years old, while his father now has over 14 years of sobriety.A vintage clothing aficionado, Sage is commonly seen wearing garbs from the 1930s to the 1960s. When he has time, you may find him playing video games, working on home projects, or even fiddling with a typewriter or two.
