As the Director of Software Engineering, I led a highly skilled team of developers and QA engineers in the creation and evolution of Palo Alto Networks Cortex XDR/XSIAM’s data collection platform. This platform plays a critical role in aggregating and normalizing vast amounts of data from cloud, SaaS, and on-premises environments, forming the backbone of Cortex XSIAM’s AI-driven approach to automated security operations.Beyond enhancing our data collection capabilities, I spearheaded the development of a robust platform enabling Cortex products to be deployed on customer premises with the same level of security, scalability, and efficiency that our cloud-native solutions offer. This initiative is instrumental in extending the reach of Cortex.Moreover, my team was responsible of introducing the Cortex Copilot into the product, working closely with the research team to create a helper tool that will be able to answer documentation questions and empowers security analysts by providing context and step-by-step guidance throughout their day-to-day work, enabling them to move faster, resolve incidents sooner, and stay ahead of emerging threats.

During my tenure as Sr. Software Engineering Manager, I played a pivotal role in the development of the highly scalable and robust data collection platform for Cortex XDR. This platform was essential in enabling Cortex XDR to process vast amounts of telemetry data in real-time, forming the foundation for its advanced threat detection, investigation, and response capabilities.As part of the management team, I contributed significantly to the product's success in the market. Cortex XDR quickly became a game-changer in the cybersecurity industry, leading the charge in Extended Detection and Response (XDR) by integrating data from multiple sources and providing unparalleled visibility and protection against sophisticated threats. Our efforts not only positioned Cortex XDR as a leader in the market but also established it as a benchmark for innovation in the field, setting new standards for comprehensive cybersecurity solutions.
