I am a passionate biotechnologist with a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology and a Master's degree in Medical Biotechnology. My master’s thesis focused on the in silico and in vitro study of an engineered therapeutic enzyme, superoxide dismutase, which sparked my fascination with the diverse applications of bioinformatics and computational biology.Since April 2023, I have been a Marie Curie PhD student in the European project "STOP SPREAD BAD BUGS" at the Italian Institute of Technology in Genova, Italy. As part of SSBB, my work centers on the computational aspects of this project, particularly the modeling and simulation of antibacterial peptides and small molecules interacting with bacterial membranes. Our research aims to understand the mechanisms of action of synthetic non-neutral antibacterial peptides and small molecules, and to develop an AI-based pipeline for evaluating antibacterial agents.I am dedicated to expanding my knowledge and skill set in computational modeling and drug discovery, and I am eager to contribute to advancements in this field.
