It’s not enough for the country’s most advanced and sophisticated cities to be at the forefront of technological innovation with “smart” parking meters or informational kiosks. They also need to be sustainable and show innovation on a larger scale, such as Intelligent Transportation Systems. A smart transportation infrastructure doesn’t just provide technology solutions and economic benefits, it also increases our quality of life (more safety & better reliability) and improves our quality of jobs (easier commute and less traffic wait times). This is where I come in to contribute to safe and efficient operations of our city roadways and state highways by developing traffic models for roadway and transit planning.My skills also include: • Transportation engineering using WSDOT standards to review and assist in the preparation of signal plans, work zone traffic control plans, signing plans, illumination plans and other traffic design elements for the city region.• Conducting field site assessments of traffic controls to ensure compliance with project plans and state guidelines• Evaluating traffic operation models and traffic management strategies, including transit travel demand forecasts.• Utilizing CADD and Simulation software e.g. AutoCAD, MicroStation, Java, CPLEX Studio, Synchro, Vissim, Vistro, MATLABThanks for viewing my profile.
