F.E.Consultancy is a Project Management and Retail Design and Delivery Consultancy based in Dubai and managed by ex-EMAAR & MACE senior executives. I was part of the team responsible for the development of AED 400 million valued shopping mall located on E 311 main road, managing top-tier contractors` China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East (CSCEC ME), Vector Foiltec Ltd from Germany (Main ETFE Roof contractor in the world) and working very closely with well-known Cost Consultants (Currie & Brown).Responsibilities -Reviewing Contractors & Tenants submissions (shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, request for information’s, proposals, designs…. etc.) for compliance with project requirements. -Reviewing on contractor’s time schedules and monitoring the site progress.-Ensuring FIDIC conditions of the contract are always followed by the contractors.-Corresponding to Contractor’s contractual communication.-Inspecting site work, reporting nonconformities & ensuring that contractor’s QA/QC procedures are always followed.-Liaising with the Tenants and incorporating their requirements within main building construction.-Liaising with relevant authorities or Third Parties as required.-Supporting actively cost consultants in the review of IPC, EOT and additional cost claims.Key Achievements-Spearheaded a team of more than 25 Engineers including contractors’/subcontractors’ site engineers, project managers, QA/QC personnel, construction managers and technical office members.-Timely responded to all contractual documentation, avoiding contractor’s possible claims.-Maintained 100% of the quality specified in project requirements.-Clarified discrepancies between drawings and specifications attaining minimal claims.-Supervised and coordinated the largest ETFE roof works installation in UAE at that point.-Corrected flaws within contractors’ submissions and design calculations, preventing failures and unsatisfactory installation.
