Yellow Jacket Space Program is a student-led design team developing a liquid bi-prop rocket to reach 100 km altitude.-Explored independent ignition system to ignite main propellants and initiate launch. System must be reliable, low-cost/replaceable, and reproducible.-Assembled tubing and flow control components for engine test stand.

• Designed, assembled, and tested a hybrid Retarding Potential Analyzer (RPA) and Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor apparatus to characterize ion beam of electrospray thrusters. • Supported R&D testing of thrusters in vacuum chambers during test setup and data collection stages

• Responsible for exploring the applications of machine vision to track fill levels and other states of propellants • Designed and conducted hardware tests to collect video of simulated propellant in scaled-down tanks • Applied classical (edge detection, color-based filtering) and modern (segmentation-based neural networks) image analysis techniques to detect and track states of the fluid surface.
