Profile bio

About Sahar Ibrahim

I am an inspiring clean tech & infra investor, committed to strengthening the role that private sector players can play in emerging and frontier markets for positive and sustainable economic development, particularly in areas of renewable energy infrastructure and sustainable technologies. I currently work to develop Scatec's renewable energy infrastructure portfolio in Central & Eastern Europe through solar PV development and M&A transactions. I have extensive experience in competitive, emerging markets such as India, as well as more frontier markets including Tajikistan, Pakistan, Nepal, and Afghanistan. My experience spans business and project development of large, commercial independent power production projects, to business development and resource mobilization for integrated utility operations and small-scale, rural solar PV and hydropower installations. While my focus has concentrated in small, medium and large hydropower projects, I have also gained exposure to solar PV, wind (on and off-shore), and green hydrogen/green ammonia technologies and the enabling factors in regulation and policy that lead to successful project development and implementation. I currently serves a Director for three entities holding a range of operating companies in Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines, overseeing the development and/or operations of solar PV plants, and onshore, nearshore, and offshore wind projects.

Listed skills include Microsoft Office, Public Speaking, Research, Social Media, and 11 others.
