Progression Path:(Jun 96 - Dec 03) Technical Consultant, Kolkata-India(Apr 02 - Dec 02) On-site Project Role, Edinburgh-UK(Oct 99 - Feb 01) On-site Project Role, San Francisco-USHere I graduated professionally from core technical to project management role within leadership capacity having project team of 7 to 72 members in various projects.Furthermore here I handled several domestic & international product development and maintenance projects both from on-site & offshore for manufacturing, payment card, retail, and insurance domain for renowned US & UK based clients such as Hindustan Paper Corporation, Visa International, Scottish Widows, ASDA/Walmart.Here I refined my skills in managing projects, risk, quality, and onsite/ offshore delivery model; also got trained in IBM Mainframe based projects, quality audits and project management from IIM-Bangaore & IIM-Kolkata. After getting exposed to software quality processes from QAI, implemented QMS, CMM Level 4 & PCMM Level 3 in the organization.

Having sound knowledge of software/ application programming, RDBMS (Ingress), along with financial accounting, billing & payroll, I could quickly pick-up Sybase & SQL server technology, software analysis & design and automate organization’s various functional areas.As part of the application designing team, I contributed in software application design, development & implementation for company in-house, and designed, developed, implemented & migrated all applications from Cobol to RDBMS.

This was a purely technical software based role and here I got my first hand learning and exposure of commercial application programming, Cobol programming, file handing, data processing, and RDBMS Ingress programming. I was involved in migration of program from Cobol to Ingress RDBMS; besides here I handled monthly data processing, billing for advertisers, and generation of payslips, daily subscription slips and MIS reports.

I begun my career while learning all about computer hardware and of course sales as my key mandate was to sell XT & AT range of desktop computers to corporate houses.
